When in doubt, keep it simple

That is my rule for easy and stress-free styling when I have difficulty choosing an outfit. Layering pieces in my wardrobe is a great way to stay warm and create different silhouettes with my outfits. I recently saw a gorgeous Layered Wool-Blend Bottega Veneta sweater and immediately fell in love. The elegant neutrals and chunky knit with a lighter knit underneath create a simple yet elevated style. However, when I saw the retail price of USD 1950, I almost fell off my chair. Although I love the overall style, it is an effortless style that anyone can easily recreate with affordable basics you may already have in your closet. 

I paired this COS Merino Wool Turtleneck with an Oversized V-neck sweater from Mango to recreate the layered sweater. This combination costs USD 129, and you can wear each piece separately. To finish the look, I paired the sweater(s) with zip-hem leggings that are comfortable yet elevated, ballerina flats (with socks on cold days), and gold accessories.
